Yesterday I read an interesting post on tumblr defending adding actual commentary on reblogs (rather than tag commentary). YES. A+. Would read again. The post: click here.

On to fest participation/progress on projects. Hopefully this isn't too much for me (well I do have a lot of free time). Posting progress updates on LJ so maybe I'll actually get things done:

That's all for now. I need to post some of my merlin fanart over on this LJ, but I've been too lazy.

I took a break from reading Merlin fic (I haven't started reading Paperlegends or another fest that I participated in, AHH)... and went on to rereading some original m/m reads that I had bought or downloaded (from the Original Works section in AO3). I'm still on an orig-fic spree right now... LOL.

There is so much Merlin fic to catch up to (and let's not forget that I haven't even touched HD-hols, smoochfest, etc. etc).

However, this past weekend a friend linked a page of a shoujo manga that she was reading, which jump-started a weekend of me catching up to some series that I haven't looked at in a while or rereading old favorites. I have some reactions in my head (the thoughts aren't organized either... sorry)... posting something like this on tumblr/twitter isn't the same.

( going to talk about it under the cut )

I haven't ventured into the Merlin LJ fandom yet, so this post probably isn't relevant to a lot of you, haha!

I drew a picture that somewhat-unexpectedly is getting a lot of notes/reblogs on tumblr... I've been clicking on the reblogs and enjoying the responses in the tags of the reblog posts. Though if I never bothered to check, I wouldn't have seen any of the comments, ahhhh, this hearkens back to the issue of commenting.

Anyways I'll post the picture first and then some tl;dr about drawing

Long time no see, friendslist! I'm sorry to be so MIA lately... I've been in a drawing rut in general (not just with fanart) so I haven't been able to submit things for fests, etc... Right now I'm mostly in Merlin fandom (or you could say that I'm lurking in the Merlin-fic-reading corner of the internet) but my love for H/D is still eternal!! TBH I haven't kept up with the HD fests so it's a little bit daunting for me to start reading all the fic I haven't caught up with.

This is crossposted from my tumblr.

Thanks <3

(/^▽^)/ Thank you so much kitty_fic for this brilliant new userhead!! I feel so regal and kingly, he he he.

I am so excited that HD Hols is posting!! And the holiday spirit is reviving my love for all things Harry/Draco again (it's so nice to think that holidays remind me of this fandom <33) so I'll be trying to play catch up with some fests while following this one. I actually have the urge to draw a lot now, haha.

So yesterday I heard that Series 5 is the last series ahhhh I'm so inconsolableeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. 8__8 ;__; except I think that it's a good place to stop this show because any more might feel like it's dragging on too much??

I'm too nervous to draw Merlin or Arthur because I really love Colin and Bradley so I don't want to butcher them. ヽ(゜。゜)ノ

Instead I draw Drarry hahhahaha. I miss drawing Drarry for you guys u 3u
